THE RED LION
Just a short walk away from Gold Martin, in the centre of the village, is The Red Lion pub. Undoubtedly one of the oldest buildings in Mawnan Smith, this cob walled, thatched public house, converted from three cottages is documented to date back to the 15th century. A large pub of great character, open all day, with an extensive menu and a daily specials board. You have a choice of a bar menu or a full restaurant menu. Either way the service is excellent and the range of ales and wines is good.
